Herbicide

Topramezone 33.6% SC

Advanced Corn-Specific Post-Emergence Herbicide for Broad & Narrow Leaf Weed Control

Topramezone 33.6% SC belongs to the pyrazolone chemical class, which is highly effective in post-emergent weed control. It offers targeted action in maize (corn) cultivation and is designed to combat both grassy (monocot) and broadleaf (dicot) weed species that compete with maize during critical early growth stages.

Mode of Action:

FINTAR™ works by inhibiting the 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD) enzyme in weeds. This enzyme is essential for carotenoid biosynthesis, which protects plant chlorophyll from photo-oxidative damage. Inhibition of HPPD leads to:

• Disruption of chlorophyll production

• Bleaching symptoms (whitening of leaves) in weeds

• Eventual desiccation and death of weed tissues

Its selective action ensures that maize plants are not harmed, while susceptible weeds are quickly controlled.

Key Features & Benefits:

✔ Crop-Specific: Specially developed for maize (corn); safe on the crop when used at recommended doses

✔ Broad-Spectrum Control: Effectively manages annual grasses and broadleaf weeds

✔ Early Post-Emergence Use: Ideal for application when weeds are in the 2–4 leaf stage and maize is in early growth

✔ Superior Rainfastness: Quickly absorbed, minimizing wash-off by rain

✔ Residual Activity: Provides extended protection after application by preventing regrowth of weeds

✔ Improves Crop Establishment: Reduces competition for nutrients, sunlight, and moisture—resulting in improved yield potential
